Duration

The length of time varies depending upon the time you can commit to studying. A basic guide:

Award:    6 – 8 weeks

Certificate:    18 – 24 weeks

Diploma:    12 – 18 months

Assessment

Assessment is normally via practical work-based assignments provided by ET&C. This ensures you minimise time away from work and that you undertake work study which is relevant to your own organisation’s context.

Academic Equivalences

Qualifications at QCF Level 4 portray practical skills and competences that are rated in academic terms as being comparable to Higher National Certificates (HNC).

Entry Requirements

These qualifications can be offered to individuals from age 19. There are no specific entry requirements for these qualifications, but ET&C must ensure that individuals admitted to the programme have sufficient capability at the right level to undertake the learning and assessment.

Progression

On successful completion of a Level 4 qualification in Management and Leadership, a number of progression opportunities become available:

  • Enhance your professional status by upgrading your CMI membership
  • Progress to other qualifications at the same level (e.g. from Level 4 Award to Level 4 Certificate etc.)
  • Progress to other qualifications at the next level (e.g. from Level 4 Certificate to Level 5 or 6 Certificate)
