The CMI Level 5 qualifications in Business Support have been developed by CMI Awarding Body in cooperation with the Institute of Consulting (IC).

These qualifications are aimed at Advisers that support SME Market. The core units within these qualifications are focused on developing effective business support relationships with clients, enabling the client to analyse the business and implement change, developing business support networks, reflective practice and development in business support and monitoring the support service.

With a more comprehensive structure, our Level 5 Diploma in Business Support gives you the skills and competencies you will need to become an Adviser. A CMI Diploma in Business Support is the benchmark qualification for full IC membership, it also takes you another step towards Chartered Manager status with CMI.

Duration

The length of time varies depending upon the time you can commit to studying. A basic guide:

Award:    6 – 8 weeks

Certificate:    18 – 24 weeks

Diploma:    12 – 18 months

Assessment

Assessment is normally via practical work-based assignments provided by ET&C. This ensures you minimise time away from work and that you undertake work study which is relevant to your own organisation’s context.

Academic Equivalences

Qualifications at QCF Level 5 portray practical skills and competences that are rated in academic terms as being comparable to Foundation Degrees and Higher National Diplomas (HND).

Entry Requirements

These qualifications can be offered to individuals from age 19. There are no specific entry requirements for these qualifications, but ET&C must ensure that individuals admitted to the programme have sufficient capability at the right level to undertake the learning and assessment.
